President's Letter

Welcome to the 2021 baseball season!

On behalf of the WBBA board, it is our privilege to kick off a new season of White Bear Baseball and welcome back hundreds of Bears to the ball fields for another year. After a condensed yet very fun 2020 season, we’re looking forward to an on-time start this spring and a full schedule for all of our teams. We are committed to following all guidelines for baseball that are communicated by the MDH and MYAS in order to ensure the safest baseball experience possible for our players, coaches, umpires, and fans.

Once again, WBBA would like to thank the Minnesota Blizzard Academy for opening up its facility on Sunday afternoons, for a reasonable price, so that we could get as many players as possible some off-season training. We’d also like to thank the many volunteer coaches who have given their time and energy to provide instruction, which has allowed us to offer these sessions at an affordable cost.

Due to the current capacity guidelines from the MDH, we will be offering tryouts for our Gopher State traveling teams over the course of two weekends: March 20th and 21st (3rd – 5th graders) and March 27th and 28th (6th – 8th graders) at the Blizzard Academy (Saturday) and the TCO Fieldhouse (Sunday). Tryout schedules will be communicated via email and posted to our website as soon as they are finalized.

As we have done in the past, we will continue to offer financial assistance to players as needed. More information can be found on the Registration page of our website.

The White Bear Baseball Association owes all of its success to individuals who are gracious enough to volunteer their time coaching, organizing, transporting, and cheering for our players. On behalf of the entire WBBA community, I would like to thank the parents, grandparents, relatives and friends who have so generously contributed to making this baseball season possible.

Go Bears!
