Welcome to the 2023 baseball season!
On behalf of the WBBA board, it is my privilege to kick off a new season of White Bear Baseball and welcome back hundreds of Bears to the ball fields for another year. We’re looking forward to another busy spring/summer of baseball in 2023.
Allow me to borrow some verbiage from our high school coaching staff: our organization exists to develop each baseball player as a person both on and off the field. We all aim to raise our kids to become high-quality human beings, and the life lessons that are learned through baseball can be a big contributing factor towards that goal. To that end, I encourage all of the adults associated with our association to remember to act with respect towards players, coaches, opponents, and umpires while at the ball field this year.
For our traveling teams, we will be holding tryouts on March 18th and 19th. The tryout sessions on the 18th will be held at the Blizzard Academy, with the Sunday sessions shifting to the TCO Fieldhouse. Tryout schedules will be communicated via email and posted to our website as soon as they are finalized, which will likely occur in early March. All age groups will have tryout sessions on both days.
Our In-House, North Star, and Senior League programs will ramp up in late April once registration is complete and teams can be formed.
The White Bear Baseball Association owes all of its success to individuals who are gracious enough to volunteer their time coaching, organizing, transporting, and cheering for our players. On behalf of the entire WBBA community, I would like to thank the parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends of the association who have so generously contributed to making this upcoming baseball season possible.
Go Bears!
