What is the GSRec Baseball League?

The MYAS Gopher State Rec Baseball League (GSRec), formerly known as the North Star Baseball League,  is a recreational/in-house league that primarily serves the north metro of the Twin Cities and surrounding area baseball associations.

The GSRec has leagues we will participate in at 7th Grade/13U and 8th & 9th Grade/14-15U. This league plays a 14 game regular season from May through July, capped by a tiered playoff structure to end the season.

MYAS will assign teams to separate divisions based on geographic location, and the number of registered teams, so games are played between teams in neighboring communities, such as Blaine, Shoreview, St Anthony, etc.

The teams are typically selected using a draft process conducted by the WBBA League Director and age group coaches.  The game match-ups are determined by MYAS, but each coach will schedule their games with their opponent at a MYAS sponsored event.  Games are usually scheduled Monday through Friday, but any day of the week can be used, assuming the appropriate logistics can be satisfied (i.e. field or umpire availability).  Practices are scheduled at the discretion of the WBBA and coach. Visit the MYAS page for the most complete, and up to date details: Gopher State Rec Baseball League
