Hello Bears Baseball Family – we hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we all navigate these uncertain times. Our Board has been communicating regularly with each other, the city of White Bear Lake, and MYAS in regard to the upcoming season. At this time MYAS is still planning to hold either a full or partial game schedule, so we continue to operate under the assumption that we will play baseball at some point in the coming months.

At this point in time, taking into consideration the Governor’s extension of the school closures through May 1st, we are aiming for traveling tryouts for all ages to be held on May 2nd and 3rd at the Babe Ruth Fields. Obviously, this is subject to change, and we will be adhering to any further guidance from the appropriate governing bodies. But for now, we wanted all traveling players to have that weekend on their radar.

We are also still planning to have a season for our In-House, North Star, and Senior League players, and registration will remain open until details and timing become more clear.

These next few weeks will provide plenty of opportunities for games of catch and taking some hacks, so we encourage all of you to work some baseball activities into your newly formed “routines.”
