The White Bear Braves posted their highest run total of the year in a 23-6 victory over the Brewers. The offensive attack was led by Ben who hit a grand slam to go with 5 RBIs. Ethan, Bennett, Michael, and Spencer each scored three runs or more. In addition, Charlie, Ben, Spencer and Patrick each had multiple hits during the game. Finally, Kirby got his first hit of the year. Way to go Kirby! The defense was led by excellent pitching performances by James, Bennett, Spencer, and Shane. Ben also had three putouts at first base in one inning which ties a record!! Overall, the team worked together well in the field by hitting their cutoffs, communicating, and catching fly balls. Great job Braves!
The White Bear Braves played well in a 10-8 loss to the Cubs on Wednesday night. The Braves were in the game all the way to the end. Down by two runs entering the final inning, the Braves mounted a strong comeback by loading the bases. Unfortunately, Cubs pitchers shut the door before they could score. Liam led the offensive attack with two hits, a walk, and two RBIs. The Braves had strong pitching efforts from Bennett, Patrick, and Spencer. The team will have the weekend off before facing the Brewers on Monday night.
